Orfi Pelaez (3rd year interning with DCCA) stated “I had asked to learn more about ground up construction because I had only done interior buildouts and wanted to get a feel for ground up projects. I feel as if my expectations weren’t only met but exceeded. I worked on Hillsboro Storage with Danny Brown who provided me with a lot of knowledge on how ground up construction goes and the process on how it works.”
-
Kai Chauhan (2nd year interning with DCCA) reported “I have learned more the past two summers about construction and how a business is supposed to operate than I have in all my years of school thus far. I still feel like I have a lot to learn but these past two years have given me an incredible foundation to build on.”
-
Will Barnowski said “The biggest learning take away would be working on different sites and superintendents. I enjoyed working with multiple superintendents and learning different things from them. Another take away was seeing two different buildings get built and learning the start process to coming to the end of the job.”
-
Michael Titus stated “One of the main tasks that I was assigned was supervising the labor work which I thought was a good task because it gave me responsibility. I was also in charge of doing the daily reports. I enjoyed finishing out some of the punch list items from the Sanitas job. I looked forward to seeing the project come to a completion knowing I had some part in it.”
